ReCreation

Original work by Marisa Moran Jahn, on display at National Public Housing Museum

Media: digital prints of monoprints and hand-dyed paper, archival images courtesy of the Robert Breck Chapman archive, University of Baltimore

This work emerged from Jahn’s 2022 Artist as Instigator residency at the National Public Housing Museum and a longitudinal study about health equity led by Dr. Sarah Szanton, Dean of Nursing at Johns Hopkins University in collaboration with Jahn and community developer Micah Campbell-Smith.

My Role: Studio Assistant, Archival photo restoration, mural and installation planning across multiple stories for the work to become a permanent installation at both Carehaus in Baltimore and the National Public Housing museum in Chicago, celebrating the community organizers who worked to make public housing possible.
